Privacy Statement Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership (SWMHP) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of your personal information. As an interactive publication and distance-learning tool of SWMHP, our Web site (www.swmhp.org) collects some information about the people using it and therefore operates in accordance to the following privacy policy. By using the SWMHP Web site, you are accepting the practices described in this policy. SWMHP reserves the right to modify our privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in site content and services and will clearly explain any changes that we make in our privacy policy.

Information Collected by SWMHP If you are accessing the general SWMHP Web site, we do not collect any personal (user) information. However, the SWMHP Finding Your Home Pages do collect limited personal identifying and demographic information in order to process pre-applications & requests for information.

Email Notifications Visitors to the SWMHP Finding Your Home Pages and to some of SWMHP's field office sub-sites have the option of receiving email event announcements, newsletters, or surveys that are relevant to their interests and professional affiliations within the community development field. Users of these sections of our site, that no longer wish to receive email notifications from SWMHP, have the option of removing themselves from our mailing lists.

Disclosure of Information Any personal information collected by SWMHP is used only in aggregate. The reason for aggregate collection is in order to provide demographic data to our grantors that require such information, as well as for us to enhance our site content. Other than for the purposes of addressing email notifications and for ensuring an appropriate level of accountability during online discussions and events, personal information is not used to identify individual users, nor is it distributed to other organizations to be used for commercial purposes.

Cookies In order to improve your experience with the SWMHP Web site and tailor content to your interests, the Finding Your Home Pages and some of the field office sites use cookies (elements of data that a Web site can send to your browser and store in your system). You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and choose whether to accept or refuse it. You can also set your browser to refuse all cookies. However, you will not be able to access these areas of the SWMHP Web site if you do not accept cookies coming from SWMHP.

Commitment to Data Security SWMHP has taken significant steps to make sure that our server is as secure as possible. All information submitted through our Web site is protected by the best security methods available.

II. WEB LINKAGE

Linking to External Web Sites Through www.swmhp.org On certain Web pages of the SWMHP Web site there are links to other organizations. Once you open one of these links, a separate browser window will open. Once on an external site, you are no longer governed by the SWMHP privacy policy, and should be aware of the privacy policy of the site that you are visiting.

Linking to www.swmhp.org SWMHP welcomes links to its Web site. If you want to link to the SWMHP Web site, you may do so. By establishing a link to the SWMHP Web site, you'll be deemed to have agreed to the following link conditions:
  • You are granted by SWMHP a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the SWMHP name, SWMHP logo and SWMHP tag line (“Putting together the pieces of community development”) - all of which are covered by service mark protection - solely for the purpose of linking your Web site to the SWMHP Web site. You may not use any other SWMHP or SWMHP-affiliated company service marks for any other purpose. This license may be terminated at any time in SWMHP’s sole discretion, at which time you agree to remove all links to the SWMHP Web site and cease using the service mark protected items described above.

    The content of SWMHP’s Web site may not be reprinted or distributed by outside individuals or organizations without the prior written consent of SWMHP. However, registered users of the SWMHP Finding Your Home Pages are permitted limited distribution of Resource Library materials.
